Online Training Courses:
- Any student who cancels within 48 hours of the initial registration AND has not accumulated more than 30 minutes of training online will be refunded in full or transferred to another course of the student's choice.
- If your cancellation is made AFTER 24 hours from the time of registration or if you have completed more than 30 minutes of training, your tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE.
- Students have 90 days from the date of registration to complete all online courses or as applicable for that specific course. Students who fail to complete the course may request an extension of 1 month, provided the request is made BEFORE the course expires. Further extensions will not be granted. All students who do not complete their course in its entirety, within 90 days will not be issued credit or a refund, regardless of the amount of course that is completed.
- All students who do not successfully complete the whole online course will be required to re-register for the course, complete any time requirements (if applicable) quizzes and exams, as well as pay the course registration fee.
Blended & Classroom workshops:
- Any registration cancelled within 48 hours of the initial registration will be refunded in full.
- Any cancellation or reschedule made after this 48-hour grace period will be billed a 25% administrative fee unless it is within the following time periods:
- Cancellations or reschedules received within 15 business days or less left before the event date (weekends are not included) will be charged a 50% cancellation fee* unless they are with 24 hours of the start time.
- No refund or credits will be issued for participants that fail to attend any days of the course.
- Cancellation made within 15 business days of the event will be credited toward future events + 10% service charge. No part or full refund will be issued.
- Substitutions will be accepted at any time prior to the beginning of the course.
- We may cancel courses for low attendance or due to unforeseen weather conditions up to 5 days prior to the start date. Should your course be cancelled, you will be offered future event or a full refund. As a result, candidates are encouraged to book travel and accommodations that can be either refunded or repurposed.
- Any refund with respect to cancellation of program without any alternative option being provided by KnowledgeHut, the same would be processed within 30days from date of request.

Although it takes months or years to learn how to be an effective agile tester, the contents set out below are designed to fit into three days of course materials and exercises, leading into more advanced learning in numerous testing topics. Instructors and self-learners are expected to include group activities of their own design and to incorporate their own, personal specialties that highlight particular aspects of agile testing. [pre-requisites: Fundamentals of Agile Learning Objectives, understanding of common testing techniques and processes]
The Agile Testing program is constructed around five major elements, with concepts and technique & application for each.
- Explore key agile testing techniques including early testing of software artefacts, test driven development (TDD), acceptance test driven development (ATDD), and exploratory testing. Approaches for automating appropriate types of testing should be discussed.
- Compare and contrast agile testing with traditional software testing techniques and approaches. The learner will gain an understanding of the collaborative nature of agile testing and how business, development, and testing work together to produce high quality software.
- The learner will get both vocabulary and principles to be able to effectively perform agile testing as part of a whole-team concept - from initial test planning, through development iterations, to product release.

- Definition of Scrum: Basic Scrum background and framework, principles and values which ensure the correct understanding of Scrum.
- Scrum theory: The three legs of Scrum theory (transparency, inspection and adaptation) are explained. Resultant and fundamental values are examined in details: responsibility, self-organization and self-management, sense of urgency, commitment, technical excellence, rhythm, discipline, respect and courage.
- Scrum framework: The meetings, artifacts and roles that make up the Scrum process.
- Scrum practices: Estimation, planning, user stories, planning poker, prioritization techniques and other practices which are commonly used in Scrum.
- Agile Leadership: What is it and why is it important for a ScrumMaster? Common models of Leadership.
- Coaching and facilitation: Coaching definition, coaching scenarios, and facilitation techniques used by ScrumMasters.
- ScrumMaster's Soft Skills: Helpful hints and techniques for building high performing teams, conflict management, practical techniques for the daily work of a ScrumMaster.
- Scrum Evolution: Applying Scrum in more than one project, Scrum with geographically distributed teams (real cases), Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner configuration, Scrum beyond software, Scrum and pre-defined techniques like PMBOK, CMMI.
- Other topics as required by the attendees.
Course Agenda of Marco Mulder CST
To demonstrate Scrum in action and to adapt the training to the particular interests of the participants, Scrum itself is used to teach Scrum. As a participant, you are stakeholder and your input is used to create and maintain a Product Backlog with learning goals. While working on these learning goals, the training thoroughly covers all that is needed to pass as a Certified Scrum Master. Because of the adaptive nature of the training, the agenda is different from training to training. Typically, training topics are as follows:

The training has a healthy mix of theory and practice. By using Agile exercises with powerful debriefs, the participants will internalise the theory. During the training Marco shares his own experiences of doing Agile in many companies, which is highly appreciated by the participants. Participants who are already doing Scrum leave with clear insights on how to improve further. Participants new to Scrum are capable and usually very eager to apply Scrum right after the training.
After taking the 2-day Certified ScrumMaster course, students are eligible to take the CSM Exam online through the Scrum Alliance website. It has 35 questions and no time limit in which to complete. Candidates may bookmark questions, change answers to questions, and even stop the exam, returning to it to complete the questions at a later time within the 90-day period .To get a passing score, you must correctly answer 24 of the 35 questions
After successful completion of the CSM exam, you will receive official designation as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) by the Scrum Alliance, along with a two-year membership of the Scrum Alliance.
Note: If you do not pass the exam on the first attempt, you may retake it any time during the 90 days following your CSM course. You may even re-take the exam immediately if you would like.
If you fail the exam a second time, you will need to pay a $25 exam fee to the Scrum Alliance before taking the exam a third time. The Scrum Alliance recommends that anyone who fails three times, re-take the CSM course before attempting the exam a fourth time.
What is CSM(Certified ScrumMaster)?
Scrum is an agile framework for completing complex projects. Scrum originally was formalized for software development projects, but works well for any complex, innovative scope of work. The possibilities are endless. Scrum is an iterative, incremental framework for project management often seen in agile software development, a type of software engineering.
Although the Scrum approach was originally suggested for managing product development projects, its use has focused on the management of software development projects, and it can be used to run software maintenance teams or as a general project/program management approach.
Our trainers will teach you what you need to know to fill the role of ScrumMaster (or Scrum team member). This course focuses on the basics of the Scrum framework, including team roles, activities, and artifacts, so that you can be an effective member of a Scrum team.
Scrum is a simple "inspect and adapt" framework that has three roles, three ceremonies, and three artifacts designed to deliver working software in Sprints, usually 30-day iterations.

Why does the Scrum Alliance offer a certification program?
When Scrum was first introduced, the only available training was in the form of articles, presentations, and books. By reading these resources, many grasped the iterative nature of Scrum, but missed the principles and practices that are necessary for successful implementation. In response, the Scrum Alliance developed a certification program.
What makes the Scrum Alliance certification program different from other Scrum training programs?
The certification courses posted on the Scrum Alliance site are all taught by Scrum Alliance Registered Education Providers (REPs) and Certified Scrum Trainers (CSTs). All of these providers have been vetted by their peers to verify that they have the depth of knowledge, experience, and training ability to teach others about Scrum. Their courseware has been approved as being consistent with Scrum and agile principles. You can be assured that a course from a Scrum Alliance REP or CST is an accurate representation of Scrum and is being taught by a recognized authority on Scrum and agile practices and principles.
Can I become certified without taking a course?
No. It is our belief that true learning requires hands-on practice and in-person training. The CSM evaluation is not offered as a replacement for formal training.
What does it mean to have a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) designation?
A Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is someone who has been taught (by a Certified Scrum Trainer) the Scrum terminology, practices, and principles that will enable them to fulfill the role of ScrumMaster or Scrum team member. A Certified ScrumMaster course is a first step on the path to growing more agile. Experience and continuing education are necessary next steps to become a true, practicing Scrum professional. To demonstrate deep understanding and experience with Scrum, CSMs are encouraged to apply for and become Certified Scrum Professionals.
Does the Scrum Alliance offer an online CSM course?
No. While we acknowledge that online seminars can be an effective teaching forum for some subjects, we believe that understanding Scrum requires a greater level of personal interaction than can be delivered in a virtual environment.
The Certified ScrumMaster courses engage participants in live, interactive learning, free from the obstacles inherent in an online activity. Additionally, students of online courses do not have the same opportunity to connect and exchange their perceptions that students in live courses do. There is no virtual coffee break that could replace meeting real people with real experiences. For this reason, online learning has a place in preparing participants for the Certified ScrumMaster course and for passing the evaluation, but is insufficient to fully prepare Scrum participants, which is ultimately the goal of Certified ScrumMaster program.
Do I receive PDU credits for a CSM course?
Yes. Please follow PMI's procedure for Category B: Continuing Education. According to the PMP handbook: 'Contact hours of project and/or program management education may be earned by attending relevant educational courses offered by organizations not registered with PMI. To calculate the number of PDUs earned, use the following formula: one contact hour of learning relevant to project and/or program management within a structured activity or course equals one PDU. Documentation required upon PMI audit/request: registration form, certificate or letter of attendance, and a brochure or course materials outlining the subject matter covered and the qualifications of the instructor/lecturer.' Most CSTs can tell you how many PDUs their course offers.
What is the membership fee?
Our Certified Scrum Trainers pay a $50 membership fee for each student who successfully completes a Certified Scrum Master course. This membership fee covers the cost of the CSM Evaluation and the first two years of membership.
How do I renew my CSM?
This process is currently being developed. For CSMs who have never taken the evaluation, recertification will require that you take the evaluation.
Maintaining your certification not only secures the investment you have already made, but also demonstrates your commitment to retaining competency or even broadening your skills in the practice of Scrum. The Scrum framework is evolving and growing as a result of the engagement and contributions of those who share their ideas and practical experiences in the workplace. Recertification validates your participation in this evolution and your continued proficiency in the fundamental principles and practices of Scrum.
What can I expect from the CSM Evaluation?
The evaluation consists of approximately 35 multiple-choice and true/false questions. You have 60 minutes to complete it. You’ll be required to demonstrate your understanding of key Scrum elements, including:
What is the cost of the CSM Evaluation?
The cost of the evaluation is included in the cost of your CSM course and paid by your trainer. You will pay no additional evaluation fee.
How soon after my course do I have to complete the CSM Evaluation?
After receiving your membership email, you have 90 days to take and complete the evaluation.
How to obtain for CSM certification?
Obtain your CSM certification after completing the course and taking the CSM Test (a link to the test will be sent to you following your course). The test becomes pass/fail on September 1, 2012 and a score of 24 out of 35 questions must be obtained. There will be two free attempts included in your membership and any attempt thereafter will have a charge of $25.
Can I take the evaluation without taking a CSM course?
No. The evaluation is not intended as a substitute for formal training.
What does it mean to be a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)?
A Certified Scrum Professional has proven experience and expertise in the art of Scrum. CSP is the level of certification that all practitioners of Scrum should strive to attain. Before becoming a CSP, applicants must be CSMs, CSPOs, or CSDs.

Heitor Roriz Filho is an "agilero". He currently works as an Agile Coach and Trainer worldwide, based in Sao Paulo. He is a writer, speaker and trainer in the area of Technology Management. He has been dealing with Agile since 2004 and in addition to speaking for Agile/Scrum, Six Sigma and PMI conferences, he is the founder activist of the ScrumAmazonia user group. He is also the co-founder and Agile Coach of Massimus (http://www.massimus.com) a company focused on APM (Agile Project Management) training and coaching. He holds a M.Sc. in Information Technology from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Has worked and gathered experience in companies like Itautec-Philco SA, DaimlerChrysler AG, Fraunhofer Institut, FPF (Fundação Paulo Feitoza), among others. He worked for 3 years as a ScrumMaster and Product Owner for FPF and Siemens-Mobile where he also coached teams to implement and improve Scrum in projects. During 2+ years he worked as Information Manager for the local government at Municipal Institute of Urban Planning where he applied Scrum outside of software, in architectural and building projects. He participated as a research assistant in projects belonging to LBA (Large-scale Biosphere-atmosphere Experiment in Amazonia) at INPA (http://www.inpa.br) in cooperation with JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Agency). Heitor is a passionate for Agile and Scrum. He truly believes Agile can change the way we work achieving excellence levels of precision and performance. In 1997, Marco graduated cum laude in Computer Science at the VU University in Amsterdam. His experience with Agile dates back to 2001, when he worked at OTI to develop Eclipse. Since 2009, Marco has done many co-trainings with Scrum co-creator Jeff Sutherland. According to him: "Marco has an excellent understanding of Scrum and a deep knowledge of XP engineering practices."
