Description

Welcome to “Agile PMP – PMBOK with AgileBOK” Program, a program which covers PMBOK with Agile methodologies in a structured way, which we call AgileBOK or Agile Body of Knowledge. The “Agile PMP” Program helps in three major ways.

  1. It is suitable for professionals who want to get certified in both PMI-PMP® and PMI-ACP®.
  2. PMBOK® does not prepare someone coming from a Traditional background to adapt to an Agile based management. The transition is not easy, unless one understands the intricacies of an Agile based framework, and "Agile PMP" program helps with this.
  3. There are professionals in the traditional management world who want to know more about Agile principles and where they can apply them.
Agile practitioners claim that in various industries, Agile approaches are tailored to their needs. How is this done? Agile PMP program helps you to understand how this is done.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone involved in an agile project and who wants to get the most value out of working as a part of an Agile team can attend this course.

It is a unique 4 day program for achieving both PMI-PMP® Certification and PMI-ACP® certification. In this program, you will: • Know the principles for PMBOK® and prepare for PMP® exam with 35 PDU fulfilling criteria • Know the various principles of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, XP and apply for PMI-ACP® or Scrum related certifications • Know how to transition from Traditional Management World as outlined by PMBOK® to an Agile Management World In short, you can say that “Agile PMP is “PMBOK with AgileBOK or Agile Methodologies”.

PMBOK or Project Management Body of Knowledge is a term used by PMI® to cover various process groups, knowledge areas and process areas. PMI® provides soft copy of PMBOK for aspirants for PMP certification. AgileBOK or Agile Body of Knowledge refers the principles, values, methodologies, and practices under Agile Framework. This is a term used by us for better understanding by professionals. PMI does not provide AgileBOK Guide. In our course, we completely cover a whole set of Agile methodologies, practices and principles in consonance with PMBOK Guide. For details on what will be covered in AgileBOK, please refer to the Agenda section.

We frequently face this question. It is important to note that Agile PMP is NOT JUST a 35 Contact program ONLY for PMP. In Agile PMP, we cover 5 Process Groups, 10 Knowledge Areas and 47 Process Areas as defined in the PMBOK. Also: • We enable professionals who want to know more about PMBOK and how it will converge with Agile methodologies. • It is for professionals who want to transition from PMBOK to AgileBOK with ease • It is for professionals who want to achieve PMP certification as well as PMI-ACP certification and familiarize/prepare themselves for other Scrum related certifications, e.g., from Scrum Alliance.

In the 21 PDU contact program for PMI-ACP, you will only learn the Agile related project management topics. You will not learn anything about PMP (and hence PMBOK) related management practices. Also, in 21 PDU contact program, you will not be taught how to transition from a traditional project management environment to an agile environment.

We take a blended approach – classroom and online. In the classroom, you will get both 16 PDUs for both PMI-PMP and PMI-ACP. Rest – 19 PDUs for PMI-PMP and 5 PDUs for PMI-ACP – will be obtained from online learning. This is how you will get the PDUs: 1. 4 days classroom = 32 PDUs. 2. 16 PDUs for PMP, 16 PDUs for ACP 3. Remaining 19 PDUs (35 - 16) for PMP via online learning 4. Remaining 5 PDUs (21 - 16) for ACP via online learning.

You may attend the coaching to gain an in-depth knowledge of project management principles, but without the stated educational qualifications and experience, you cannot appear for the examination.

For the full program you will get 56 PDUs and 21 SEUs.

SEUs are Scrum Educational Units, issued by the Scrum Alliance. SEUs are the mark of educational experience needed to earn the CSP (Certified Scrum Professional) certification.

PDUs and SEUs are credits awarded by the Project Management Institute and the Scrum Alliance respectively. They recognize your dedication to the Project Management and Agile world through the award of credits for every educational effort you make throughout your career. At present, Scrum Alliance members who hold a Certified Scrum Professional®, Certified Enterprise Coach and/or Certified Scrum Trainer credential need to earn SEUs to get recertified. Every PMI® certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.

Any registration cancelled within 48 hours of the initial registration will be refunded in FULL (please note that all cancellations will incur a 5% deduction in the refunded amount due to transactional costs applicable while refunding). Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of written request for refund. Kindly go through our Refund Policy for more details:http://www.knowledgehut.com/refund.
