Step 1: Register for the DevOps Foundation Training

Attend the online or classroom training provided by an accredited training organization such as KnowledgeHut.

Step 3: Take the Exam

A multiple-choice exam with 40 questions. The exam duration will be 60 minutes. It will be an open book, un-proctored, web-based exam.

Step 4: Pass the Test

Score a minimum of 65% to pass the test.

Step 5: Get Certified

Successfully passing the test will make you eligible for the certification. You will receive your certificate and digital badge by email with your confirmed exam results shortly after completing the exam.

Yes, you will receive a course completion certificate from KnowledgeHut on successfully completing the course.

You will have to attend a 16-hour (2-day) DevOps Foundation training under certified trainers. Following the training, you can attempt the exam. An exam voucher will be ordered for you along with the courseware for the program. You will receive the access keys for both from DevOps Institute sent through CustomerService@LogicalOperations.com or CustomerService@DevOpsInstitute.com.

The email will have the instructions on how to schedule and give the un-proctored, web-based exam. This exam could be scheduled at your own convenience. It is an un-proctored web-based open book exam. Please note that your exam voucher will only be valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. No, the DevOps Foundation certification is valid for a lifelong time period and does not require renewal.

DevOps Foundation is the entry-level certification from DevOps Institute. The examination is an open-book exam and is easy to pass. With our comprehensive course and your diligent approach toward acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills, you will be well positioned to pass the exam on your first attempt.

The DevOps Foundation certification exam will be in a multiple-choice format. There would be 40 questions in it, and you will have to score 65% to pass. The duration of the exam would be 60 minutes. It will be an open book exam.

As there’s a time limit of 60 minutes, you will not be permitted to pause the test. In case you accidentally close the window, you can reopen it immediately. In case you face any issues and lose access to the test for an extended time, please inform DevOps Institute via email: CustomerService@DevOpsInstitute.com.

If you fail the DevOps test, you can retake the exam as many times as you want. You may attempt any number of times, but charges will be applicable each time.

You will receive an email with a link to set your password on PRIMS—KnowledgeHut’s immersive learning experience platform—a few days in advance of the scheduled course. Once you log in to PRISM, you’ll have access to the study plan and all the course material.

We currently use the Zoom platform for video conferencing and will soon be adding more integrations with Webex and Microsoft Teams. However, all sessions and recordings will be available right from within PRISM. You will not have to wait for any notifications or links or install any additional software.
