The ITIL® Managing Across the lifecycle (MALC) module is the final course that leads to the ITIL® Expert qualification. Becoming ITIL® MALC certified gives professionals the ability to support an organization’s service delivery by bridging the service lifecycle stages. In short, this module that bridges the gap between intermediate and expert levels helps professionals to apply the processes and practices learned from the Lifecycle and Capability modules at the Intermediate Level, to deliver customer value and meet organizational objectives.

Certification

Prerequisites

Eligibility:

Attendees wishing to be trained and examined for this qualification must already hold the ITIL® Foundation certificate (worth 2 credits) and, at a minimum, have obtained another 15 credits at the Intermediate Level (for a total of 17).

Attendees who hold theITIL® Expert certificate (achieved via Service Manager or Practitioner bridging routes) are also eligible.

It is highly recommended that participants:

  • Demonstrate familiarity with IT terminology and understand the context of the entire ITIL® service lifecycle within their environment
  • Have experience working in a service management capacity

Attending a 30 contact hours training workshop from an accredited training organization (ATO), such as this one from KnowledgeHut, is mandatory to take the exam.

In order to achieve ITIL® MALC certification, candidates must appear for the exam and gain 70% pass mark.

The intent of the ITIL Managing across the Lifecycle (MALC) qualification is to give candidates the skills to support an organization’s service delivery by bridging the service lifecycle stages. This qualification helps holders apply the skills, methods and capabilities to meet organizational objectives and deliver customer value. Our in-depth course with extensive courseware, coaching by ITIL® qualified experts and intensive exam preparation will help you aim for a first time pass of the MALC. ITIL® MALC is a mandatory module to gaining the ITIL® Expert certification and KnowledgeHut will help you get there.

There are two channels for becoming an ITIL® Expert. The Life Cycle modules route covers the following certifications:

  1. ITIL® Foundation
  2. ITIL® Intermediate Service Operation (SO)
  3. ITIL® Intermediate Service Strategy (SS)
  4. ITIL®Intermediate Service Design (SD)
  5. ITIL® Intermediate Service Transition (ST)

The Capability modules route covers the following certifications:

  2. ITIL® Intermediate Planning Protection and Optimization (PPO)

A total of 22 credits are required to be eligible for ITIL® Expert level. A mix of modules from Life Cycle and Capability channels is allowed provided there is no overlap of syllabus units.

No, there is no online/virtual course for this. The ITIL® MALC certification requires in-depth knowledge of the ITIL® framework which you get from our certified experts who lead the workshop.

PDUs are credits awarded by the Project Management Institute. They recognize your dedication to the Project Management world through the award of credits for every educational effort you make throughout your career. Every PMI® certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.
