Mr. Cox is a project manager experienced in delivery of large, complex information technology projects ranging from a few months to many years in duration. He has led successful project initiatives at multiple clients, most recently in the technical upgrade of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) 11.5.10 to 12.1.3 for a multi-billion dollar federal client, and re-implementation of Oracle EBS 12.1.3 to 12.2.4 for one of the U.S. National Laboratories.
As a certified project manager (PMP, MCP), he is an expert across a wide range of knowledge areas and use of various PM tool sets. He couples this domain expertise with practical business experience, offering a powerful combination of balanced skills, experience, common sense, and a mission-oriented focus. His ability to illustrate and explain complex PM topics has made him a sought after technical instructor and speaker.
He is an expert in the use of all versions of Microsoft Project, including Professional and Project Server. In addition, he is an expert in the deployment and administration of SharePoint, with more than five years in design, deployment, and administration of high-performance SharePoint Project Team Sites.


Executive Project / Program Manager 2000 - 2013

During this period with IBM, I led complex technology initiatives with responsibility for delivery, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance, design, architecture, and P&L for IBM. Budgets varied from $14 - 32M annually on contracts up to $500M total contract value.

10/2008 - 04/2013: Executive Project / Program Manager for the IBM Business Analytics & Optimization (BAO) practice. I led a number of strategic initiatives including a small, multi-disciplinary team developing a business case for transformation of a $40B health care payer/provider's clinical data warehouse; a complex, Federal data warehouse project for replacing existing data warehouse capabilities across a variety of technology platforms. Technologies included Teradata, IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft.

10/2008 - 06/2011: Project Executive at the Department of Energy leading multiple IBM project teams in the successful deployment of the Compusearch/PRISM e-procurement / contracts management system, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) projects.

01/2007 - 09/2008: Deputy Program Manager - Technical, and Software Development Lead for the IBM U.S. Army Logistics Data Management Service program, leading the technical development and integration of logistics management software as part of the Army's Future Combat Systems.

06/2005 - 12/2006: Project Executive for the IBM USDA Forest Service account, leading multiple projects including the Forest Service Technology Laboratory, End User Support Center, PC Replacement initiative, and Lotus Notes Support. I oversaw the sale of IBM hardware and software as part of long-term blanket purchase agreements.

09/2000 - 05/2005: Program Manager leading multiple teams, successfully implementing Oracle E-Business financial accounting and data warehouse systems for the Department of Energy as part of an enterprise wide initiative to replace multiple, legacy systems.

Co-founder of Isys Technologies, an IT software / services / project management firm with projects across the U.S. Isys Technologies provides consulting, software development, and ERP project and implementation support through technology and IT resources to a wide variety of organizations including Union Pacific Railroad, Newmont Mining Corporation, Cyprus Amax Minerals, Western Area Power Administration, City and County of Denver, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
In this role, I provided the vision, technical direction, and development management for Isys Technologies' Tracker 2000, an integrated Y2K compliance tracking data warehouse and reporting product with bundled services.
