Stephen has a background in software development working with teams on a wide range of business systems for multiple companies in multiple industries. He has been an active Agile Coach within Software Development environments since 2009, utilizing his Agile skillset, Mediation and Negotiation expertise to enhance team’s ability to work more efficiently in their Product Development process.
He has been involved with many Agile software teams delivering business systems and products worldwide. He has coached leaders of teams in Agile techniques at some of the largest software organizations in the world including Adobe in USA and Ericsson in Shanghai and worked with some of NZ's best known Agile software houses. His qualifications include the Certified ScrumMaster certification which he earned under the mentorship of Mike Cohn.

Agile Coach (contract) 2012 - 2013

Acted as the Agile Coach helping train ScrumMasters and implement a new Agile environment with Senior Executives direction including setup and coaching of Agile teams working between distributed Auckland and UK based software development teams (Target Harlosh) building software for the Insurance industry.
My role as Agile Coach included being involved from statup of their Agile journey within a multi-team multi-timezone based Agile implementation.
Working with Agile Coaches in the UK across time-zones and working with Senior Exec's, technical developers, and business analysts in NZ, I assisted with the Agile coaching and development of the Agile Framework and culture within a highly pressurized project based work environment.
The work included preparing and training teams and business people to follow the Agile framework, Release planning, Iteration planning and review sessions. I trained ScrumMasters and Product Owners on their role with the Agile environment and coached teams through to competent use of Agile for their software development projects.
