Chef is declarative-configuration management and automation platform used to translate infrastructure into code. Chef works with three core components, the Chef server, workstations, and nodes. These three components communicate in a mostly linear fashion, with any changes being pushed from workstations to the Chef server, and then pulled from the server to the nodes and implemented on each node via their Chef client. In turn, information about the node passes to the server to determine which files are different from the current settings and need to be updated. Chef is written in Ruby that helps to automate, configure, deploy, and manage across your network irrespective of the network size.
London is the capital and largest city of both England and the United Kingdom. Standing on the River Thames in the south-east of England. London is considered to be one of the world's most important global cities and has been termed the world's most powerful, most desirable, most influential, most visited, most expensive, innovative, sustainable, most investment-friendly, most popular for work, and the most vegetarian-friendly city in the world. Media companies are concentrated in London and the media distribution industry is London's second most competitive sector. With most of the companies having a headquarter in London will add an advantage to your profile on the skillset of Chef Software since most of the companies do need to reduce cost on infrastructure that leads to improvement of the existing infrastructure models.
Chef training helps you to automate infrastructure that contains the components: Server, Workstations, Repo-browser. One (or more) workstations are configured to allow users to author, test, and maintain cookbooks. Cookbooks are uploaded to the Chef server from the workstation. Some cookbooks are custom to the organization and others are based on community cookbooks available from the Chef Supermarket. Ruby is the programming language that is the authoring syntax for cookbooks. Most recipes are simple patterns (blocks that define properties and values that map to specific configuration items like packages, files, services, templates, and users). The full power of Ruby is available for when you need a programming language. Often, a workstation is configured to use the Chef Development Kit as the development toolkit. Chef management console, chef-client run reporting, high availability configurations, and Chef server replication are available as part of Chef Automate.
KnowledgeHut provides both online and classroom training taken by the best instructors with a very comprehensive Chef Development Kit that provides a recommended set of tooling, including Chef itself, chef command line tool, Test Kitchen, ChefSpec, and so on with an overall understanding of Chef Architecture along with basic building blocks. Installation, configuration, and deployment of Chef Code can never be easy learning at KnowledgeHut.
