    To schedule your PMP® exam through Pearson VUE online, this is what you need to do:

    1. Open the website www.PMI.org and log in to your account. Click on “Schedule Exam” option present under the Review Application Status section.
    2. The Pearson VUE page comprises of a space to enter the name of your testing program. You need to type PMI® - Project Management Institute in it.

      Note: You need to select your testing program before scheduling, rescheduling or cancelling an exam, or you could contact a customer service representative.

    3. Or else, you can click on ‘A to Z list of all programs’ which will take you to a list of test sponsors.
    4. The test sponsor name for PMP® is PMI® (Project Management Institute) which you’ll be able to find once you click on ‘P’.
    5. Once you find and click on PMI® - Project Management Institute, you’ll land on a page where you need to log in using your unique PMI® eligibility ID.
    6. In the next step you’ll have to choose between Center Based Test or Online Proctored Test option.

    If you select CBT option:

    2. Click on ‘View Testing Policies’ and then click on ‘Schedule This Exam’.
    3. Select the date and time. You can schedule your PMP® exam at any time of the day between Tuesday to Saturday.
    4. Review your appointment details and then click on ‘Proceed to Checkout’.
    5. Complete the checkout by following the next steps and then click on ‘Submit Order’.

    Cancel the exam within 30 days of the scheduled date and a fee of $70 will be charged. However, you will get no refunds if you cancel the exam within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment.

    The Project Management Institute (PMI)® is yet to come up with any update regarding the Paper-based Testing (PBT). All the candidates who had their PBT exam scheduled on or after 1st July 2019 will have their exam moved to a Pearson VUE test center location.

    Here is how you can schedule the PMP® Exam via Telephone with Pearson VUE:

    • Step 1 - From the official website, find the contact centre number for your region and get in touch with a representative.
    • Step 2 - Give the representative your details including the testing program, the name of your exam, and your PMI.

    • Next, you have to provide your details regarding your testing program, the name of your exam and your PMI® ID.
    • At the end, there will be the verification of your name, phone number, email address and address.

After logging into the website, candidates can follow the steps mentioned below in order to confirm their candidature for the PMP® certification exam in Kolkata: 

    1. After logging in, select the test sponsor from the director followed by pressing the search button. The test sponsor in the case of the PMP® exam is the Project Management Institute (PMI).
    2. Upon selection of the test sponsor, the page would redirect to the official page of PMI where options for scheduling the examination could be identified. Candidates have to click on the ‘Schedule My Test’ button on the page.
    3. Find out the options for selecting the country and state on the landing page reached after clicking on ‘Schedule My Test’ button. Candidates have to select the country as India from the large directory of countries that is provided on the page. 
    4. After the selection and confirmation of India as the candidate’s country, a landing page would appear with all the necessary information related to the PMP® certification exam. The various details that can be found in the information on this page include eligibility for PMP® exam, documents that should be carried to the test, rescheduling and cancellation policy, accommodations, online scheduling of the exam and time for arrival at the exam center. 
    5. In this step, candidates would find a landing page with the information related to the privacy policy of the test sponsor. Candidates have to confirm and agree to the privacy clauses mentioned on the page for proceeding to the next page. 
    6. The next page would ask candidates for entering their Eligibility ID that is obtained from PMI after payment of the fees and the initial four characters of their last name. 
    7. After matching of all the above-stated information, the candidate would land up on a page where they can pick a date and time for appearing in the exam from the options given there. 
    8. Once you provide all the required information, select the test centre and your appointment verification procedure is done, the process of scheduling of exam is over. 
    9. Upon the approval of the application, candidates have to pay $405 to PMI without any additional costs to Prometric. 
    10. Remember to reach your Prometric Testing Centre in Kolkata on the scheduled time on the big day. It is also essential for candidates to carry some form of government ID for verification purposes. Candidates have to note that the examination comprises of 200 questions and duration of the exam is established at almost 4 hours.
    11. Candidates should also note that all the 200 questions are compulsory and the results are received immediately after submission of the test. 

    If candidates are not able to clear the PMP® exam in the first time, then it is possible to apply again for the exam for three additional times with the same eligibility ID. The only important point to note in this case is the payment of $275 that has to be made to PMI for each repeated attempt and rescheduling of PMP® certification exam through Prometric in Kolkata. If a candidate fails to clear the exam even in all the three attempts, then he/she would have to apply for scheduling the test from the start. 

    Although rescheduling of examinations with Prometric was a considerably easy job in the past, candidates would now have to pay a certain fee in order to reschedule their examinations. You are required to deposit a fee of $70 within 30 calendar days of your appointment.Following are the steps for the process of rescheduling PMP® exam in Kolkata through Prometric:

    1. The first step is to visit the website of Prometric www.prometric.com and log in.
    2. After logging in to the website, select the test sponsor from the directory, followed by pressing the search button which is Project Management Institute (PMI) in this case.
    3. After selection of the test sponsor, the process would move to the test sponsor page and candidates have to click on ‘Reschedule/Cancel My Test’ button provided on this page.
    4. The next page would offer the option for selecting the country, and candidates have to select India from the directory provided on the page. 
    5. In the following page, candidates would have to enter their confirmation/tracking number as well as the four initial characters of their last name.
    6. In this step, candidates would also be required to provide additional information before the confirmation of the application. 

    If you happened to cancel your appointment for any reason, you can claim a refund of the exam fee. You have to submit your claim within 30 days before expiry of your eligibility for the exam. After your refund is processed and your eligibility period is over, your application would be closed. 

    PMP® Exam & PMP® Renewal

    The validity of the PMP® Certification is 3 years. The PMI Certification can be renewed by obtaining PDUs for fulfilling the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR).

    Earning PDUs is compulsory for maintaining the PMI Certification as an integral part of Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR). Earning a total of 60 PDUs is mandatory for fulfilling the CCR requirement and renewing the PMI Certification.
