Certification

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for undertaking this course and subsequent certification.

Certification

The PSPO online exam is a rigorous exam and requires a minimum passing score in order to achieve the certification. There are two options for Professional Scrum Product Owner assessment: PSPO I and PSPO II. PSPO I must be passed before attempting the much more difficult PSPO II.

The Exam

PSPO I

  • Passing score: 85%
  • Time limit: 60 minutes
  • Number of Questions: 80
  • Format: Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer and True/False
  • Difficulty: Intermediate
  • Language: English only

PSPO II (Candidates must have passed PSPO I to attempt PSPO II)

  • Passing score: 85%
  • Time limit: 120 minutes
  • Format: Multiple Choice, Essay
  • Difficulty: Advanced
  • Language: English only

Immediately post the (Scrum.org) training, students will receive an email providing their password to attempt the certification assessment. If the student takes the assessment within 14 days and does not score at least 85%, they are entitled to a 2nd attempt at no cost. The 2nd e-mail with a new password will automatically be sent to the student.

This feature has been enabled to allow the candidate to inspect their level of knowledge and to reinforce the concepts dealt with in the Scrum.org training; viz. the importance of inspection, adaptation, and fast feedback cycles.

On day one, the training focuses on the fundamentals that are essential for understanding and satisfying the role of the Product Owner in the context of product management and Scrum. The course not only provides greater understanding of the role itself, but also gives you a clearer idea of the principles of agile project management by the Product Owner. You will learn:

  • Values of agile development
  • Responsibilities of Product Owner
  • Appropriate meetings with the Product Owner
  • Compulsions of the Product Owner
  • Leadership qualities of the Product Owner
  • Understanding of business values incl. KPIs
  • Measuring business value

Day two stresses on a practical approach to teaching the methodological skills the Product Owner needs for successfully handling a Scrum project. You will understand more effectively:

  • Product build up
  • Relevance of user stories
  • Setting and achieving strategic product goals
  • Release strategies and planning with Scrum
  • Estimating and prioritizing requirements
  • Forecasting capability with Scrum
  • Product development involving multiple teams
  • Total cost of ownership

The trainer Marco Mulder was sure about the topic and shared his knowledge and experience regarding Scrum on how to be a good Product Owner. From engaging with the attendees to taking time to answer all the questions, everything went smoothly and it was great. It's my second time attending a course from KnowledgeHut, and I would definitely attend more in the future.

The course was amazing. It taught me that 'what you can learn is some much more than what you think you already know'.

Attended Professional Scrum Product Owner™(PSPO) workshop in March 2019

Marco was very knowledgable and listened to everyone's questions. I felt that he provided more information than we could even absorb and no one left with unanswered questions. I would highly recommend going to one of the trainings with Marco Mulder. He covered all the mandatory topics and at the same time left room for the trainees' queries.

I had attended the PSPO training by KnowledgeHut. The trainer was Sumeet Madan and the training was really helpful as it was practical-based. The training was well-organized and completed well on time. Sumeet Madan was a good trainer and was always available even after the training to clarify our doubts
