Steps to get PMI-ACP Certification

  • Step 1: Know the eligibility criteria to take up the  PMI-ACP® Certification.

  • Step 2: Enroll for PMI-ACP® training with KnowledgeHut, a Global REP of PMI.

  • Step 3:  Be familiar with the exam pattern and prepare in advance.

  • Step 4: Create an account on PMI.org to access your information and manage your account.

  • Step 5:  Enter the project experience hours that you have earned in the last 5 years.

  • Step 6:  Enter your 21 contact training hours earned during the  PMI-ACP® training.

  • Step 7: Be a part of the largest PM community by becoming a member of PMI.

  • Step 8: Pay the PMI-ACP® exam fee ($435 for PMI members, $495 for non-members).

  • Step 9: Take 3 hours of the exam (120 MCQs, each question will have four choices).

  • Step 10:  Get a minimum score to pass the PMI-ACP® exam.

With the exception of the CAPM® credential, all those who earn a PMI® certification must actively maintain their certifications through participation in the CCR (Continuing Certification Requirements) Program and renewal of their certifications every 3 years. You can take part in professional development and learning activities to earn Professional Development Units (PDUs),thus fulfilling the continuing certification requirements and ultimately growing and developing as a practitioner.

To maintain your PMI-ACP® certification, you must earn and record 30 PDUs every 3 years.

Any registration cancelled within 48 hours of the initial registration will be refunded in FULL (please note that all cancellations will incur a 5% deduction in the refunded amount due to transactional costs applicable while refunding). On completing the course, you will get 21 PDUs and 21 SEUs

PDUs and SEUs are credits awarded by the Project Management Institute and the Scrum Alliance respectively. They recognize your dedication to the Agile and Project Management world by awarding credits for every educational effort you make throughout your career. At present, Scrum Alliance members who hold a Certified Scrum Professional®, Certified Enterprise Coach and/or Certified Scrum Trainer credential need to earn SEUs to get recertified. PDUs are offered by PMI®, and every PMI® certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.

You will receive the PMI-ACP® certification that is provided by the PMI® Institute, on successfully passing the exam.

The PMI-ACP® examination is comprised of 120 multiple-choice questions and has to be completed in 3 hours. Of the 120 questions, 20 are considered pre-test questions and do not affect the score.
