Step 1: The first step involves choosing and searching for the test sponsor from the directory. PMI- Project Management Institute is the test sponsor of PMP® exams.

Step 2: Once you have chosen your test sponsor, the site takes you directly to the page where the option for scheduling the test is there. After that, all you need is click on the ‘SCHEDULE MY TEST' icon.

Step 3: That will take you to a page which allows you to choose country and state. You may select the country as United States, and choose the state as Minnesota.

Step 4: After the country is selected, the web page will refresh and take you on a page that will give you all the necessary information regarding the PMP® exam. Everything one needs to know about the PMP® exam is described on this page including the criteria for eligibility for PMP®, documents to be carried along for the test, accommodations, time of arrival to the exam center, reschedule and cancel the policy, and online scheduling of the exam.

Step 5: After reading everything thoroughly from the page in step 4, you’ll land on the page that provides information concerned with the privacy policy of the test sponsor. In the end, you will need to confirm and agree to all the clauses mentioned in the page to proceed to the next step.

Step 6: Once you are on the next page they will ask for your existing Eligibility ID received from PMI after the payment is made. Along with this, you’ll also have to enter the last 4 characters of your last name.

Step 7: If followed correctly, these steps will land you on a page that provides you with the available date and time options for your exam. You will then be required to choose a suitable date and time for your exam.

Step 8: Once you have successfully chosen your test center and provided the required information, your appointment verification process is over, and an appointment is made.

Step 9: No charges are applied for this on Promatic. However, you need to pay $405 to PMI once the application has been approved.

Step 10:  Once the enrollment process is complete, comes the day of the test. Show up at the Prometric Testing Center in Minneapolis with a government ID for verification. Duration of 4 hours is given to solve 200 questions in the test.

Step 11: Before you submit your test, all the 200 questions should be attempted, and you will be given the result right then.

There have been several candidates who could not clear the test in one go, but there should be no worries because one can re-apply three times with the same eligibility ID. All they need to do is pay $275 to the PMI and reschedule the exam with the help of Prometric in Minneapolis. However, if someone has failed to pass the test even after the third attempt, they’ll have to go through the whole process again.

With Prometric, rescheduling of exams has been very easy, however, a fee of a 70$ needs to be paid to reschedule your PMP® exam. It needs to be done within 30 calendar days of your appointment. Mentioned below are the several steps one needs to take to reschedule the exam:

Step 5: Then you will have to provide the confirmation/tracking number and the first four characters of your last name, on the next page.

Step 6: Once provided, it will ask for some more information till your application is confirmed.
