1. Value Stream Consultant: Role and Work

Learn all about the Value Stream Consultant role and what goes into leading value stream management across the enterprise. As a driver of transformation, you will accelerate value delivery and guide organizations to true business agility.

2. The Idealized Value Stream

In this module, you will understand all about what an effective organization looks like, its workflow and how its employees should ideally collaborate with each other.

3. Removing Delays in the Workflow

Learn how to overcome impediments to “Flow”, their various causes and how to focus on removing delays Instead of eliminating waste.

4. The Minimum Business Increment

Learn the importance of minimum business increment for an organization and learn how an MBI is used in a Disciplined Agile workflow – including who uses it and why it is used grasp the best practices on how to take an experimental approach and how to release a product incrementally.

5. The Discovery Workflow and the Development Intake Process

Understand the significance of the “intake process”, a well-defined method by which work is picked up by technology. Learn about the discovery intake process and the development intake process, which is the bridge between the business stakeholders and the technology team.

6. Business Increment Planning and Coordination

In this module, you will learn about Business Increment Planning and Coordination. You will delve into the importance of building something small, releasing it, learning from the release, making a pivot if needed, and repeating.

7. Cadence

You will learn all about the sprint cadence to be followed in Disciplined Agile. The DA toolkit, unlike most agile scaling frameworks, does not insist that sub-teams/squads within a program follow the same iteration/sprint cadence (or even that sub-teams follow an iteration-based lifecycle).

8. Reducing (Not Accommodating) Dependencies

In this module, you will learn to Identify and describe strategies, processes, systems, and tools that reduce and remove dependencies.

9. Factors For Effective Value Streams

Below are the prerequisites for this course:

  • Three years of Agile experience
  • The Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) certification to ensure in-depth knowledge of the DA tool kit and the hundreds of practices and strategies it contains

4. For how long is the certification valid?

Your DAVSC certification is valid for one year after which you would need to renew it.
