    PMP Exam Schedule

PMP exam dates are very flexible, i.e., candidates can schedule their examination date. Once PMP online application process is complete, candidates can schedule the examination. If your application is selected for an audit, you can schedule PMP exam online after the audit. Once the audit is complete, the validity period of the one-year exam eligibility period starts.

Once the fee is paid, and the audit is complete, PMP exam eligibility period of one year starts. Within this eligibility period, you can appear in the exam three times. After paying the fees, PMI will send you a PMI Eligibility ID and this must be retained to schedule the examination. So, whenever you are ready with your preparations, that is the time you should schedule your PMP test dates.

When is the Next PMP Exam Date?

The date is usually in your hands, whether it is PMP online exam schedule or PMP offline exam schedule. Exams are conducted every day. What is PMP Exam?

There is always a need for skilled Project Managers and PMP exam makes sure that people who receive this certification are highly qualified. This exam probes project managers' three primary qualities in which a project manager should be well versed with the following skills:

    1. Their soft skills to handle a team must be impeccable; to be an effective team leader, a project manager must be able to communicate with their team effectively.
    2. They should be able to grasp new information given to them by their team and should be able to explain their point of view as well as get the work done. In addition, they should understand the technical aspect of the project they are handling.
    3. A project manager must be able to find an effective way of communicating between the business side and the technical side.

PMP examination content outline suggests the above performance domains as:

    • People (42%)
    • Process (50%)
    • Business Environment (8%)

PMP exam checks the following specifications of five performance domains scrutinizing forty-nine processes:

    • Initiating the project (13%)
    • Planning the project (24%)
    • Executing the project (31%)
    • Monitoring and controlling the project (25%)
    • Closing the project (7%)

The Project Management Institute conducts a random audit of some candidates' certificates and documents. The catch with this examination is that it requires a continuous credential. In three years, candidates must earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDU) to maintain their certification. Nevertheless, this exam is probably the best way to show that you work smartly in your industry.

What is PMP Exam Passing Score?

The PMP exam passing score was last time declared in 2005. The passing score was set at 61%. Since then, PMI has not declared the passing score explicitly. However, the general consensus is to aim for 61% to qualify for the exam.

It is difficult to study for an exam if the passing score is not declared. Some authorities suggest that a score of 80% is sufficient for achieving the best results. So, a candidate can enroll in Project Management courses that provide in-depth knowledge of the subject matter.

The Project Management Institute gives an overall performance rating. The performance score report will be in two parts:

    1. Part one is the overall test score that declares the pass or fail status
    2. Part two is the performance domain that gives the performance rating of on target, above target, below target, or needs improvement.

If a candidate scores above 75% in three practice tests consistently, chances are that they will also perform well in the examination.
