Scheduling the PMP® exam through Pearson VUE is very easy. All you need to do is:

Ways to earn your PMP® PDUs

Organizational Meetings

  • You can attend a professional meeting or a network, having a session related to the Talent Triangle Components, and earn 1-2 PDUs.
  • PDUs can also be earned by participating in the keynote sessions conducted at the PMI seminars and conferences.

Reading

  • Your habit for reading books can also help you earn PDUs necessary for the renewal of PMP® certification.

Cons:

  • There is only a given number of PDUs that you can earn through reading as PMI’s limitation.

Informal Learning

  • You can attend the informal sessions and earn the PDUs as well.
  • There are also interactive sessions, for knowledge sharing, that one can participate in, and which let you interact with the experts and mentors. You can also earn PDUs through these sessions.

As a Practitioner you apply the knowledge you have, practice the skills you possess and make valuable contributions to projects.

 

Create Content

You can use your knowledge, interest, and writing skills towards creating the presentations, conduct online webinars or can blog as well. These activities will help you earn the PDUs.

 

Presentation

If you are a good speaker and present your papers at the seminars and conferences, these presentations and efforts are also converted to PDUs that provide for renewal of PMP® certification.

 

Volunteer

The PMI website will offer you certain volunteering activities as well, and these activities are towards social upliftment and good. Apart from prior experience, you will also have to specify the numbers of hours you can donate towards carrying out the volunteering tasks.

 

Webinars

PMI may also carry out webinars occasionally, and you can earn 1 or 2 PDUs by participating in any of them. You need to check the timings of these webinars because of the difference of time zones around the globe.
