PMP® Exam Fee: You can opt to take either computer-based exam or paper-based exam by paying a fee of $555. In case of non-availability of the PMI computer-based test centers, only paper-based PMP® tests are held at a few locations.

At first, you have to log in to www.prometric.com in order to schedule the exam in Pune. Once logged in, you have to follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Once you are logged in the www.prometric.com, choose the test sponsor. Then press the search button. The test sponsor of the PMP® exam is PMI - Project Management Institute.

  • Step 2: After you choose your test sponsor, you will arrive on the PMI page where you can select one of the available options for scheduling your exam. Press the tab named ‘SCHEDULE MY TEST.’

  • Step 3: In the next step, you have to choose your country and state. The page provides you with a directory from which you need to select the country as India. After you have selected your options, you will be provided with all the information regarding the PMP® exam. 

  • Step 4: After you have opted India as a country of your domicile, you will reach on a page where some important information regarding the PMP® exam is displayed. Here you can know about things like eligibility for PMP®, documents to be carried along for the test, accommodations, time of arrival to the exam center, reschedule and cancellation policy, and online scheduling of the exam.

  • Step 5: Once you read through the information, the next step is to read the information regarding the privacy policy of the test sponsor. You need to confirm that you agree to the entire privacy clause mentioned on the page to move to the next page.

  • Step 6: On the next page, you will have to enter your Eligibility ID, received from the PMI after payment and the first 4 characters of your Last Name.

  • Step 7: After the above-given information is validated, you can choose the date and time of your choice for the examination from the available options. 

  • Step 8: Once your appointment verification gets over by providing the other additional information, your appointment is complete.
  • Step 9: Once your application is approved, a fee of $405 has to be paid to the PMI. It is to be noted that no fee is to be paid to Prometric. 

  • Step 10: When the day of the exam comes, you need to reach the testing center in Pune on time and carry with you some government ID for verification. 

  • Step11: The PMP® test comprises of 200 questions to be done within 4 hours duration. All questions have to be answered. After you submit the test, you will receive the results immediately. 

A candidate who has not cleared the PMP® Exam in the first attempt can give the exam three more times. The fee for re-attempting the exam is $275 payable to the PMI.
A student has to pay the fees and reschedule the exam through Prometric in Pune. However, if the candidate does not clear the exam even in those reattempts; he/she has to start the application process from the very beginning. 

Rescheduling the PMP® exam through Prometric was an easy process earlier, but now you have to pay a fee for the same. The rescheduling can be done only within 30 days of the previous appointment. The fee for the same is $70.

The following are the steps for rescheduling your PMP® exam in Pune through Prometric:

  • Step 1: Log in to prometric.com.

  • Step 2: Then,you have to choose the test sponsor from the director and press the search button. PMI - Project Management Institute is the test sponsor for the PMP® exam.

  • Step 3: On the next page, you will see ‘RESCHEDULE/ CANCEL MY TEST’ link for rescheduling the test.

  • Step 4: After clicking ‘RESCHEDULE/ CANCEL MY TEST’ button, you will land on a page where you can select the country of your residence. You have to choose India. 

  • Step 5: The next page will ask you to provide your confirmation/ tracking number and the first four characters of your last name to verify your credentials.

  • Step 6: Once done, the system will ask you for some more information. Once all the information is provided the application will be confirmed.

You can get the refund of your application fee if you decide to cancel your application. For this, you have to apply for the cancellation with the PMI, 30 days before the expiry of your exam eligibility. Once the refund process is over, your application will be closed, and you will no longer be eligible for the exam.

PMP® Exam & PMP® Renewal

The validity period of your PMP® certification is 3 years. It can be renewed by earning PDUs by meeting the criteria given by the Continue Certification Requirements (CCR).

If you want to keep your PMI certification current, you must earn PDUs as a part of Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR). It is mandatory to earn 60 PDUs to renew your PMI certification as per the CCR requirement

The steps for participating in the CCR process are as follows:
