Lean Six Sigma Black Belts are highly trained professionals in Quality improvement methodology, who are able to apply Six Sigma principles to business processes and lead a quality improvement initiative. They are well versed in the Six Sigma Methodology and can skilfully lead and assume full responsibility for large scale quality improvement projects. They are competent in the use of six Sigma tools and techniques and standard principles. A Six Sigma Black Belt has a thorough grounding in all aspects of the phases of D-M-A-I-C (Define, Measure, Analyze, Measure, Control), and can identify non-value-added elements and activities.
Six Sigma certified professionals work on continual quality improvement by analyzing and solving quality problems and creating a high-performance organization. The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is the fifth level of certification, after the Green Belt. Certified Black Belts should be able to assume team leadership with confidence, and allocate responsibilities and team member roles.
This course will give you a thorough and detailed understanding of Lean Six Sigma and its focus on eliminating defects through process improvement and variation reduction by applying Six Sigma improvement projects. The course content efficiently covers all of the recognized Lean Six Sigma Black Belt topics in a comprehensive manner. Our intensive course is designed to help candidates navigate the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Exam syllabus, and to prepare them for the Black Belt exams.

In order to achieve IASSC Certified Black Belt™ (ICBB™) from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification, candidates must sit for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam and achieve a passing score.
The IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt™ (ICBB™) Exam is a 4 hour 150 question, closed book, proctored exam. The Exam contains approximately 30 multiple-choice and true/false questions from each major section of the ILSSBOK for Black Belts.Certification fee is not included in the course fee. If, however, you are interested in giving the Certification Exam, please contact a KnowledgeHut representative to order a voucher for you at an additional cost.
The minimum passing score to gain the certification is 580 points out of a total potential of 750 points. The questions are based on the Black Belt Body of Knowledge which can be downloaded from this link: http://www.iassc.org/body-of-knowledge/black-belt-body-of-knowledge/

In order to achieve the professional designation of IASSC Certified Black Belt (ICBB) from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification candidates must sit for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam. The Six Sigma Black Belt Exam is 4 hours long, and the 150 questions are in the multiple choice or true/false format.
Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 580 points out of a total potential of 750 points to pass the exam.
Lean Six Sigma certifications are offered by the IASSC in partnership with PEOPLECERT.
This is the first level of the Lean Six Sigma Certification scheme, and more advanced levels include the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, and the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
There are no prerequisites required to sit for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam.
IASSC provides a Reference Document in either paper or electronic form, subject to which form of exam one is taking. This document contains all formulas and tables one will need during the examination. Scratch paper is included in this document and must be discarded or returned to the Proctor before the candidate leaves the Testing Center. If taking a paper based exam one may bring an arithmetic-only calculator into the Testing Center.
The ILSSBOK is a document, developed by the industry and organized by IASSC, which defines the knowledge requirements of a Lean Six Sigma exam.
The ILSSBOK is continually updated to ensure that it maintains an accurate alignment with industry standards.
Results are sent within 2 business days upon receipt of the exam papers.
PDUs are credits awarded by the Project Management Institute . They recognize your dedication to implementing the Six Sigma processes and eliminating defects and improving overall process quality. PDUs are offered by the PMI®, and every PMI® certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.
It is easy to enrol for the training online. There are several options to pay either through your debit/credit card that includes Visa Card, MasterCard; American Express or via PayPal. Payment receipt will be issued to the candidate automatically by email.
IASSC™ Examinations cannot be taken more than once within a 2-week period, and cannot be taken more than a total of three times with a 3-month period.
ATA application candidates are allowed only 1 retake attempt. ATA candidates that have failed both their original exam attempt and their retake can reapply for Accreditation 6 months after the original application submittal but not earlier. (Note that an Accredited Training Associate (ATA) is an instructor who delivers Lean Six Sigma training as a sole proprietor or as a contractor or an employee of an Accredited Training Organization or Accredited Deployment Program and meets the IASSC criteria to receive such designation.
