In “Practical PMP with Primavera P6”, the software used for practical is Oracle Primavera P6, where as in “Practical RMP Primavera Risk Analysis”, the software used is Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, a completely different software used risk management. It was earlier known as Pertmaster.
In Primavera P6, a number of concepts from Risk Management cannot be fully applied, but with Primavera Risk Analysis you can apply these, e.g., Monte Carlo Analysis, Tornado Diagram, Qualitative Risk Register, Quantitative Risk Register, S-curve analysis etc. Also, Primavera P6 is primarily designed for project management, whereas Primavera Risk Analysis is primarily designed for risk management.
