The Foundation Level qualification is well suited to IT or business people who would like to start a career as a software tester, or to testers with basic experience who wish to build upon and solidify their testing knowledge and skills. Testers who want to demonstrate knowledge and skills in globally accepted testing processes can undertake the ISTQB® Certifications, which are accepted as the de facto industry qualifications for the software testing profession.
On completing the ISTQB® Foundation Core certificate, you are eligible to continue on to higher level software testing qualifications - the Core Advanced level and then the Expert level. You can also attempt the Agile Tester exam or get one of the Specialist certifications.
