About the SAFe for Government Certification and Exam

1. What are the prerequisites for the SAFe for Government Practitioner Exam?

The following are the prerequisites for SAFe for Government Exam.

  • Exam delivery: Web-based (single-browser), closed book, no outside assistance, timed
  • Exam access: Candidates can access the exam within the SAFe® Community Platform upon completion of the SAFe® 5 Government course.
  • Exam duration: Once the exam begins, candidates have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete the exam.
  • Number of questions: 45
  • Passing score: 73%
  • Language: English
  • Exam cost: There are no limits to the number of times you can take the exam, if you are ready to pay for it. The Scaled Agile, Inc. allows you to take the first attempt at no cost, within 30 days of the course’s completion. Thereafter, each retake attempt costs $50.
  • Retake Policy: The first exam attempt is included as a part of the course registration fee if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion.
  • Each subsequent retake attempt costs $50.
  • The second exam attempt (first retake) can be done immediately after the first attempt.
  • The third attempt has a 10-day waiting period.
  • All the subsequent attempts have a 30-day waiting period.

2. What’s the importance of a SAFe® Government Practitioner Certification?

The SAFe® Practitioner Certification exam teaches participants the techniques and processes to scale Agile and bring about successful transformations in environments that may be rigid and diverse, and to projects that are large scale and time and cost bound. You will learn how to bring about the Agile mind set and build high performing, multivendor teams, and gain leadership skills that will drive agile solutions acquisition, and plan and deliver SAFe.
