In Agile terms, a Product is something that you build as per your client’s requirements to achieve a certain goal.
The Product Owner is an individual on the Scrum team, who represents the user community or business, and is responsible for working with the user group to find the features that will be included in the product release. They are the leaders, managing the team and guiding the product’s progress toward success. The role of the Product Owner is critical to all types of product development, specifically in the Agile methodology.
The Scrum Product Owner responsibilities list includes the following:
As a Certified Product Owner, you will be given the responsibility of heading an Agile project, liaising with the Scrum Master to achieve objectives and ensuring satisfied customers. The CSPO course will enable you to improve the effectiveness of Scrum artifacts and give you the knowledge necessary to increase the business agility in your organization.
The Product Owner and the Scrum Master are two different roles in the Scrum (Agile) development model. However, both have the same objective of adding value to project management. While the Scrum Master focuses completely on the team and its operations, the Product Owner studies the project from a customer’s perspective. The Product Owners are responsible for managing the product backlog and securing its visibility all the time. On the other hand, the Scrum Master is responsible to motivate the team and help remove any impediments in order to facilitate the timely completion of the project.
Your next step in your Agile journey after earning your foundational CSPO certification and a year of experience working as a CSPO on a Scrum Team is to achieve your Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner™ (A-CSPO™) certification.
Through this membership, you can join local user groups, online social networks, gain access to deep discounts on gatherings, and additional member-only resources. In addition, CSPOs get to use a specially designed logo to highlight their credentials.
Here are some of the top industries and companies that have hired Product Owners:

You can earn the required SEUs by completing an educational training or a learning opportunity.
There is no Scrum Alliance Product Owner certification exam to earn a CSPO credential.

PDUs and SEUs are credits awarded by the Project Management Institute and the Scrum Alliance respectively. They recognize your dedication to the Agile world through the award of credits for every educational effort you make throughout your career. Scrum Alliance members who hold a credential from Scrum Alliance need to earn SEUs to get recertified every two years. PDUs are offered by the PMI®, and every PMI® certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.
You can get 14-16 PDUs and SEUs by participating in our 2-day training program.
It was a well managed event. The venue was perfect for activity-based learning. Special thanks to KnowledgeHut for bringing trainers like Aakash Srinivasan. The 2 days were a great learning experience with every minute worth much more than the fee paid!
The workshop was really useful. Vijay, the trainer, made it highly productive and entertaining. I initially thought it was going to be more of a powerpoint presentation with an overdose of information. However, the CST ensured to explain the concepts in a more practical way.
Marco presented well-structured sessions with in-depth Scrum knowledge while relating it to real-world circumstances. Scrum was used as a framework for the course. Therefore, a lot of material was covered, all questions of the group were answered, illustrating its effectiveness. The activities in the session highlighted some of the issues encountered with traditional approaches and importantly how they could be avoided with Scrum. I would have no hesitation in recommending Marco’s course.
The sessions were well-organised and very interesting. They were not boring at all as we could constantly participate. It was not the usual powerpoint session. The trainer was very knowledgeable too.
I liked the venue and its facility .I received full support from the KnowledgeHut team.Other amenities were also good. The instructor was very good, he taught us in a very polite and structured manner. The overall experience was good.
Since most companies have realised the benefits of Agile methods, there is an increasing demand for Agile specialists. People with a certification for scrum product owner have an edge over other product owners as they’re specialized in Scrum. CSPOⓇ professionals possess the necessary skills to make the right decisions for the Scrum team. According to a website Payscale, CSPOⓇs get paid more than 9% of what others make.
Renewal doesn’t guarantee higher pay. However, the chance of receiving a pay hike is significantly higher if you have more work experience along with a renewed certificate.
The course fee of $350 includes the first 2 years for Certified Scrum Product Owner certification. This fee is minimal compared to what the certification offers in terms of employment. The pay of a CSPOⓇ professional is much higher as compared to other jobs.
