The first step in becoming a Certified Scrum Product Owner is selecting and enrolling with an institute which is a Registered Education Provider (REP) of Scrum Alliance.
Although studying the Scrum guide and Agile manifesto is not a prerequisite to taking the CSPO course, it will be beneficial in understanding the concepts faster.
In order to receive a CSPO® certificate, you need to mandatorily attend a two-day CSPO® course (which is a 16-hour course) taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST®). The main objective of this course is to teach the concepts of Scrum and help you qualify for the CSPO® certificate.
Once you complete the two-day CSPO® training program, your Certified Scrum Trainer will update your details to the Scrum Alliance (the governing body that issues CSPO® certificate) website.
Once your CST updates your information, you will receive a welcome email from Scrum Alliance asking you to log in to your Scrum Alliance account and accept your CSPO® license.
Once you receive the welcome email, log in with the link provided and reset your password. After you do this, you can gain your license.
Once you accept the license, you can download and use the CSPO® certificate. This is valid for two years post which you will have to renew your certification.
The training was comprehensive and focused to start the Agile methodology in my Organization. Kiran is a great Agile coach and a trainer. Would recommend KnowledgeHut for ease of managing everything related to the training.
The course was very good and well organized. The customer support from knowledge hut was very good and they were very helpful in the course registration and scheduling the same. The free online courses which were offered is highly appreciated.
The instructor was very passionate. His course was very structured and well laid out, and never devolved into the rambling some course instructors are apt to do. He answered questions happily and made sure everyone was on the same page without going too slow or seeming condescending. Overall, he was a fantastic and talented instructor. I had a great learning experience with KnowledgeHut.
It was a very informative training that helped me boost my confidence as a PO, try on the shoes of other Scum team members, understand which approaches are the right ones, learn from a very enthusiastic coach and get to know smart people from all over the world.
Very happy with the KnowlegeHut training. The trainer was excellent and was excited to do the course. I would like to do more courses through KnowledgeHut in the future. Thanks Team

In Agile terms, a Product is something that you build as per your client’s requirements to achieve a certain goal.
The Product Owner is an individual on the Scrum team, who represents the user community or business, and is responsible for working with the user group to find the features that will be included in the product release. They are the leaders, managing the team and guiding the product’s progress toward success. The role of the Product Owner is critical to all types of product development, specifically in the Agile methodology.
The Scrum Product Owner responsibilities list includes the following:
As a Certified Product Owner, you will be given the responsibility of heading an Agile project, liaising with the Scrum Master to achieve objectives and ensuring satisfied customers. The CSPO course will enable you to improve the effectiveness of Scrum artifacts and give you the knowledge necessary to increase the business agility in your organization.
The Product Owner and the Scrum Master are two different roles in the Scrum (Agile) development model. However, both have the same objective of adding value to project management. While the Scrum Master focuses completely on the team and its operations, the Product Owner studies the project from a customer’s perspective. The Product Owners are responsible for managing the product backlog and securing its visibility all the time. On the other hand, the Scrum Master is responsible to motivate the team and help remove any impediments in order to facilitate the timely completion of the project.
Your next step in your Agile journey after earning your foundational CSPO certification and a year of experience working as a CSPO on a Scrum Team is to achieve your Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner™ (A-CSPO™) certification.
Through this membership, you can join local user groups, online social networks, gain access to deep discounts on gatherings, and additional member-only resources. In addition, CSPOs get to use a specially designed logo to highlight their credentials.
