Education Background

Minimum five years/60 months unique non overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks. *

Leading and directing project tasks as identified in the PMP® Examination Specification. Within the total hours of project management experience, experience in all five process groups is required. However, on a single project, you do not need to have experience in all five process groups.

For MS Project certification, there is no such pre-qualification needed from Microsoft. As you have covered the eligibility for Practical PMP, as mentioned before, you will be automatically eligible for MS Project certification from Microsoft.


Project Management Professional (PMP)® is a credential offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®, USA.
Practical PMP will be based on PMP® pattern but with equal emphasis on knowing the practicality of PMP® with the help of Microsoft Project 2016.

The Exam

The PMP® examination is comprised of 200 multiple-choice questions and has to be completed in 4 hours.

The exam for MS Project 2016 will be “Managing Projects with Microsoft Project 2016”.
